I should be studying. I took off today because I scheduled my Technician test for tomorrow. My plan was to review all day as much as I could so that I owould ace the exam. Well that will not happen because I took the test last night and passed it with a 100%!!
I was on the Tuesday night LARC net and they said some slots were available on Thursday but I didn’t get the website correct. Later, I was watching a YouTube video about using Repeaters. It was put on by NARC (Northern Colorado’s club). At the end of the video (which was a presentation by an Elmer) they said their web address to get some files. Well I go to the website and lo and behold, its the same website I heard about on the previous night’s Net! So I signed up to take the test and studied all day in betwen work tasks.
I didn’t get any sleep because my anxiety of passing a free test about a new hobby that came from nowhere. How stupid, right? I guess that’s what got me through med school 🙂
TODAY
So since I don’t have to study today what am I going to do?
Nothing. Probaby watch some motorcycling/travel videos. Some ham radio videos. Put together the stereo.
Oh, and I’ll probably start studying for my next test – the next level of Amateur Radio privleges – the General license.
Note: About a month later we would find out that we probably got COVID at a rest stop in Nebraska on our way home to Colorado..
