My first Denmark!
Yesterday I glanced at Kristi’s fishing pole and had an idea.
What if I put some weights on the end, cast into the front yard tree, and then when it lands, tie the end of my antenna to it and reel the line back in?
I cast it a few times until I got a satisfactorily high apex. It wasn’t easy reeling it back and I admit there are 3 lead shots in my lawn 🙂
I have the antenna coming out of my window, laying on the roof and then going horizontal to a low branch and then making a 90 degree turn straight up for about 15 feet or so. It doesn’t clear the roof of my house but it will do.
I didn’t FT8 last night but I am on 30 meters this morning seeing who I can FT8 in the EU.
I set my iCom 7100 to 75% power which is 75 watts and called CQ. Lo and behold a Deer from Denmark shows up!
