So I just a weird QSO on FT8 on 30 meters.
I was calling CQ to see how stable my RFI problems were )with my USB drive on the desktop vs. my iCom 7100, 49:1 transformer on my window sill + 3 foot coax) and then stopped calling CQ for a bit.
In comes KB5WCK a minutes after I stop, saying hi! Of course I had to reciprocate and complete the QSO. Funny, but I’ll take it!
The funny thing is I think I know where he lives because I’ve been to that part of Ft. Worth, Texas myself. Great food and very friendly people – but you can expect that all over Texas.
