Woke up on Black Friday and flipped on FT4 on 20 meters. There were a lot of EU stations that I could hear so I hovered between 35 and 50 watts, paying attention to the signal reports I got back.
I heard nearly every country in Europe. They were getting near their grey line and probably settling down for some ham radio fun after dinner.
I did a little hunting and also a little calling CQ. After a little while I fixed my transmit frequency to an area that wasn’t as busy.
Then it started – contact after contact. The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Romaina, Slovenia. It was like the Olympics started!
Needless to say, I looked at most operators QRZ pages and plan on going back to look at them again. I really want to make an app that loads up one’s QRZ page automatically when you’re in a wsjt-x QSO with them. Maybe that’s what I’ll work on today as a little side project!
