Right after I DX’d to Europe, it was to the opposite side of the world.
I tried to respond to YB1HK with 75 watts on 30 meters but he couldn’t hear me (or the band went bad, whatever).
So I cranked it up to 95% which is 95 watts and tried to reel him in my EFHW antenna being held vertical by Kristi’s fishing pole.
Along comes the beautiful tones of YB1HK’s FT8 signals. How sweet the sound!
