I realized my front page was looking ugly with all the screenshots of some FT8 and FT4 contacts so I’ll sum the last few up in this post.

Around noon on December 19, 2020, K9STT and I had a problem. But we kept at it and finally got the QSO!

I woke up on turned on my Icom 7100 to see what was happening. At 8 am I was surprised (or maybe not) to find that I was hearing deep into Europe. Amazing! I replied to PD7RF in the Netherlands and we successfully made contact! Absolutely amazing!

I run up to 100 watts on my Icom 7100 but prefer to run less if I can. But another thing I like to do is run on 30 meters. There’s usually a small group around. Here’s a recent QSO early in the morning (hey, I was on vacation) just before 8 AM on December 18, 2020 where I was able to connect on 30 meters with W6RN.
