Like a lot of other hams, Santa bought me an iCom 705 for Christmas.
The day after Christmas Day (Dec 26, 2020) at 5:10PM local time using a 49:1 EFHW cut for 40-10 in my backyard, I connected with KB8AVX on 40 meters.
What’s significant about this QSO is that I was on my 705 which is a QRP radio. This operator is 950 miles away in Wisconsin! This QSO was probably at 5 watts or less! That’s a lot of mile per watt!
