I got my new call sign today! AE0RS. It’s taking a little getting used to since I’ve been KF0BBY for the few months I’ve had my ham license but I figure since I upgraded to Amateur Extra I’d change it up a bit.
It’s been difficult finding a 1×2 or 2×1 since they’re all taken so I decided that AE for “Amateur Extra” was just fine. And then my initials. Since I don’t have a middle name, I guess I can benefit from getting a 2×2 which only Extra’s and the old Advanced can get.
Now the daunting task of changing my call-sign everywhere. Now I know how my wife felt when we were married!
